Temporary Occupant Load - COVID-19

The following information is provided to assist with compliance with Governor Holcomb’s Roadmap to Safely Reopen Indiana.

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR OCCUPANT LOAD RESTRICTIONS FOR BACK-ON-TRACK INDIANA

How do I determine the occupant load of my business in determining the Covid-19 restrictions as outlined by the Back-On-Track Indiana guidelines?

Multiplying the length by the width of your business and dividing by the Occupant load factor for your type of business will determine your normal occupant load.   The normal occupant load multiplied by the Back-On-Track Indiana reduction percentage = Back-On-Track Indiana Occupant Load

Normal Occupant Load Factors

Restaurants, bars that serve food – the posted occupant load in the establishment.  If the occupant load is not posted please contact the Lafayette Fire Department at LFD-FirePrevention@lafayette.in.gov or 765-807-1600 for assistance.
