RepresentationThe Lafayette Police Department Honor Guard provides a formal representation of the Lafayette Police Department (LPD) at funerals and public events. The Honor Guard participates in the funerals of retired Lafayette Police Officers, as well as fallen Police Officers from other agencies across the state. The Honor Guard also participates in law enforcement memorials and special events.
BagpipesThe tradition of bagpipes associated with police and fire funerals goes back over 150 years in the United States. The LPD is fortunate to have its own bagpiper, Sergeant John Yestrebsky.
