Lafayette Police Arrest Murder Suspects

On December 13th, 2019 the Lafayette Police Department investigated a homicide at 619 Alabama St, Lafayette, IN. A deceased male was located inside that was later identified as Charles Sandefur. 

During the course of the investigation, detectives with the Lafayette Police Department and the Tippecanoe County High Tech Crimes Unit determined that the victims debit card was used at the Village Pantry at 1008 S 4th St.  On January 15th, 2020 Detectives arrested Thomas Loveless (28), and Matthew Mace (29) for fraud in connection with that investigation.

On January 17th, 2020 both Thomas Loveless and Matthew Mace were arrested for Felony Murder.
