Rededicated in Spring 2000, this beautifully landscaped park is named in honor of astronaut and Purdue alumnus, Neil Armstrong. Located on the south side of Lafayette, the 30-acre park has quickly become a favorite destination for residents and families. Fishing is permitted on site; all state regulations apply for fishers.
Armstrong Trail
Armstrong Trail is convenient to many neighborhoods. This quiet paved path winds around the pond and is a wonderful destination for anyone wanting to add relaxation to their day.
Castaway Bay
An adventure is waiting for you at Castaway Bay! A beach-like entry, water basketball and a bubble bench are just a few of the features that make up the aquatic center at Armstrong Park. Pool rental is available after hours.
Rental Facilities
There is one shelter available to rent at Armstrong Park. This shelter can seat 50 people comfortably, and can be rented for a fee of $75.00. Shelter Rental Payment
The shelters are available to rent for a daily basis (10:00 AM - dusk) on each day of the week. To check availability and rent a shelter, please call the Parks Administrative Office at (765) 807-1500 or visit us online here.

Shelter reservations are NON-Refundable. Day substitutions are available - restrictions apply.
