Housing Inspection Request

  1. Housing Inspection Request
    The following criteria is required to submit inspection requests: (1) A copy of your current lease must be attached; (2) you must be an occupant/tenant of the unit you are requesting to be inspected; (3) you cannot be in the process of moving; (4) you cannot be in any litigation with your landlord; and (5) you must be current on your rent. Inspections are conducted on Tuesday's, Wednesdays, and Thursday's.

  3. The City Engineer's Office does not make determinations of mold nor do we inspect infested units.
  4. Inspection
    Inspections are only on Tuesday's, Wednesday's, and Thursday's. The City Engineer's Office will call or email you to confirm the date and time of your inspection. If you are not available for the agreed upon inspection date and time you must cancel or re-schedule (WITH THE INSPECTOR) by 9:00 a.m. on the scheduled date. If you are a no-show and/or fail to cancel, and then call to re-schedule for a future date, a $50.00 re-scheduling fee will be charged. The date and time of the inspection will be set by the inspector.
  5. Signature*
    By checking "I Agree" you are acknowledging your agreement with the terms stated in this document and further certifying that checking the box counts as an electronic signature. Your electronic signature is considered legally binding the same as signing your physical signature by hand (IC 26-2-8).
  6. Submission Confirmation
    An inspector will contact you within 3-5 business days to set up your inspection.
