The Facilities Department is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of 20 City owned properties and lighting. This includes all plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and any other general repairs. We are committed to making the best use of City resources.
Quality: We expect a high standard of integrity, performance and professional behavior. We take pride in the appearance and quality of our facilities locations and welcome feed back from our citizens to better supply their needs.
Service: We continually search for innovative solutions to help improve our service to the citizens. We seek and maintain collaborative efforts to better utilize equipment and staff. We take the initiative to enhance things. Our goal is to provide reliable and timely service to make sure our buildings are a safe environment.

The Facilities Department is responsible for maintaining the following lighting locations:

| Smith Street Bridge | Lights 6th and Brown St |
The lighting maintained by the City is the Nostalgic lighting on black or green metal poles. Other lighting in the city, such as street lights on wooden poles, are maintained by Duke Energy and not the City. To report an outage of a streetlight please contact Duke Energy or at 1-800-343-3525.
