Each year, Friends of Columbian Park Zoo sponsors a variety of special events to help support its ongoing mission and vision. From the energizing ZOO Run Run to the "spooktacular" BOO at the ZOO, our special events provide fun for the whole family! And, don't forget, Friends of Columbian Park Zoo members receive discounts or free tickets for most programs.

- Penguin Ball - February 20, 2010
The fourth annual black-tie optional ball was held on Saturday, February 20 at the Lafayette Country Club. This event will featured a live and silent auction, dinner, dancing, and mingling with the Zoo's Animal Ambassadors.

Friends of Columbian Park Zoo hosted the 8th Annual Zoo Run-Run on Saturday, July 17 at 8:30 am. This Event included a 5K Fun Run and Walk and a 1K Kids' Run, Awards Ceremony, and much more family fun!
2010 Zoo Run Run Results - Zoo Snooze - September 17-18, 2010
The Zoo is even more fun after dark! Join us for an overnight camping experience you'll never forget. You'll enjoy behind-the-scenes tours, a Nocturnal Creatures live animal show, a Family Fun Scavenger Hunt with prizes, campfire stories and songs, pizza dinner, basic breakfast with the animals, and a photo keepsake. - Boo at the Zoo - October 20-22, 2010
Boo at the Zoo will be back and better than ever this Halloween! This "hauntingly-friendly" event is perfect for your elementary school-aged children. The event features a nightly kids costume contest, fun games, encounters with our Animal Ambassadors, photo keepsake opportunities, and the Enchanted Train Ride. Don't miss Boo at the Zoo 2010!
